i’ve been reading the stories included in this anthology, and am almost finished. i must admit that i think there are many outstanding peices of short fiction included here, yet the collection feels at times inadequate. for example, poe’s “the black cat” and ‘the telltale heart” are not included, which i sorely missed. with several authors, i felt their best works were not included. don’t misunderstand me, this is a very good collection, recomended to ANYONE interested in reading short stories. it’s just that in only a few cases i was left wondering about the inclusion of some stories and really missing others.

Book came very very quickly and in amazing condition. Although i returned the book because i no longer was taking the course that required this book they were very helpful with the whole returning process.

The vendor stated they did not recieve my order from Amazon. Yet Amazon charged my credit care and sent appropriate follow up correspondence. After contacting the vendor who apologized after i sent him my order, was going to send it but too late class already started… disappointed in whole situation. Cancelled my acct with Amazon, they did credit my charge card promptly.. I am considering coming back to Amazon, but will never try to make a deadline, by the way i ordered 3 weeks out… anyway that is in brief why i am surprised at the recent experience of confusion that i experienced with Amazon, after many positive experiences. carol anders

i needed this book for a short fiction class. it cost over $60 in the school book store. this was just what i was looking for on my very small student budget.
