Were the songs in A Very Potter Musical all created for the show?

Weird question, I know, but I swear that the first song (Get Back To Hogwarts) has the same tune as ‘Won’t Say I’m In Love’ from Disney’s Hercules. And that song that Draco and Ron sing about Hermione (Granger Danger? I’m not sure) has a guitar riff that I recognise but can’t place. And ‘To Dance Again’ definitely sounds familiar.

So was the music just adapted with lyrics, or was it written for the show – does anyone know?

What are some show-stopper musical pieces?

I’m looking for show stopping numbers from musicals – broadway or film. Things that are either emotionally compelling or are a big fanfare, like Music of the Night (Phantom) and Come What May (Moulin Rouge). Disney, live action films, and Broadway… anything you particularly appreciate!

These are the ones I”m already familiar with, so you can skip those recommendations:
RENT, Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, and all of the Disney films pre 2002 or so.
