Science aside (reason I did not ask this in the science section), why do those that choose the literal biblical view not take into account a humans greed…. Let me explain.

As a scientist, the more interesting an experiment or observation the more “famous” you are in the scientific community. The really great theories are published in books and talked about all the time then taught to generations of schools children who learn the name Einstien, Boyle etc. So, do creationists believe that scientist are not trying to disprove evolution? Rather than be world renound as the scientist that disproved evolution, they would rather be a follower and hide away some great piece of evidence in favor of something else? All science and religion aside, does this idea make sense to creationists?
Perhaps the question was missunderstood. What do creationists think scientists are doing? Its really a question for creationists.

Darwin also believed in God and was not a scientist by education, he was a theologist. I was also told that he attended church every Sunday.

To create a hypothesis one must think of a problem or question then consider the possible outcomes. How else would a person create a hypothesis? If x is true then y should occur? This is the beginning of a scientific investigation. Not only do I understand this but I teach it for a living.

Again, this question was directed toward creationist so that I could better understand what they know about how science works. The only way to teach is to first find out what the student knows. A base from which to build. I am not trying to engage in a debate with them. I just want information.
